Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. She is most famous for her character Skyler White on The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School, before her family relocated to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. Her studies in theatre were in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed by the theater in the Chicago region for a couple of years before trying her luck in TV as well as films. Anna had her first big part as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. At the beginning of 1990, she was a frequent guest on TV and in films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully was one of her roles. Gunn appeared in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio plays. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual demise mirror the last few decades of Walter White.
