Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a quiet community located on the part of Montreal called"the West Island. A lot of people who aren't aware of they mistakenly believe the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually the West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is frequently called her birthplace. However, she only was there for a brief duration. Brugel grew on Courtice just outside Oshawa located in Ontario. When she was a child she hoped to become the next big thing in her career, but a sudden growth spurt made it impossible. In an article published in the Toronto Star she admitted In heels I'm 6 feet 1 inch. After I became too big for my male friends, I quit. A lot of former dancers go on into acting. In the case of Brugel, it was a suggestion from the drama instructor at her high school which pushed her in the right direction. The teacher who suggested she pursue a role for the school's annual production. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the lead role in Anne of Green Gables after she had a go at. It led to her receiving a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000 she graduated with a Master of Fine Arts at York University. Since then, she's appeared performing in over 60 plays, big and small. The most notable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in the Handmaid's Tale which was filming over 10 years ago.
